Guang Ming, general manager of Wuhan Asia-Europe Limited Logistics, said that regular freight train service between Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, destined for Europe boosted trade volume during the first three quarters of this year.

Wu said that more than ten thousand cargo containers worth US $ 500 million have been shipped via the said train, which starts from the city of Wuhan to countries such as Russia, Poland and Germany, where in the first half of this year exceeded the freight volume of the total freight volume in the past year.

Wu pointed out that the train will become busier soon and with the approval of the import of cars and cereals, meat, fruits approaching.

Wu continued that further consolidation will be introduced to the mentioned line, due to other containers between Wuhan and other cities such as Chengdu, Xi'an and Shanghai trains, pointing to the existence of freight trains service similar to Europe is moving in many Chinese cities such as Chengdu, Changsha, Hefei and Iwo, Suzhou, Harbin.
